    NPA’s founders had a vision of a strong, well-managed system of national parks in NSW. This is still a core part of NPA’s mission. We run campaigns and education programs to support good management of protected areas such as national parks, and to oppose uses or development of our reserves that undermine their conservation values.

Elections for the new Executive Committee will take place on Saturday 8th October at the Annual Meeting of State Council. 

We are calling on interested persons to submit a nomination for a position on the Executive Committee. Any member may nominate any other member of NPA to the Executive Committee. NPA has two active committees and working groups. Their priority goals and actions are listed below.

Park Management:       

  • Review Plans of Management, develop and review related policies
  • Liaise with NPWS on management related issues
  • Provide articles and information for inclusion in NPA publications
  • Develop submissions
  • Provide technical support for conservation
