• Park Protection

NPA’s founders had a vision of a strong, well-managed system of national parks in NSW. This is still a core part of NPA’s mission. We run campaigns and education programs to support good management of protected areas such as national parks, and to oppose uses or development of our reserves that undermine their conservation values.

Are you passionate about the environment and looking for a new challenge? Want to make your financial skillset work for a fantastic cause?

If you have been looking for a volunteer position that will use your professional skills to really make a difference, look no further.

The National Parks Association of New South Wales (NPA) is seeking a new executive committee member. The executive committee is the governing body of NPA, and we are a non-government conservation and bushwalking group that seeks to protect, connect and restore the integrity and diversity of natural systems in NSW through national parks, marine sanctuaries and other means.

We're looking for our next star executive committee member – a financial guru to advise on the administration of NPA accounts and to provide general financial advice. You will use your sound financial background and passion for the environment to help us fulfil our vision and mission.

Our priorities for the next three years are marine and terrestrial nature conservation, focusing on:

• Threats to protected flora and fauna
• Promotion of nature-based activities
• Engagement in nature conservation research through citizen science programs
• Protection of under-represented ecosystems

If you eat, breathe and sleep environmental concerns and you have a passion for volunteering and getting your hands dirty, we'd like to hear from you!
