    NPA’s founders had a vision of a strong, well-managed system of national parks in NSW. This is still a core part of NPA’s mission. We run campaigns and education programs to support good management of protected areas such as national parks, and to oppose uses or development of our reserves that undermine their conservation values.

The NPA is in its 60th year of advocating for the protected area network in NSW, and we believe that our national parks are something we should be immensely proud of says Dr Oisín Sweeney, Senior Ecologist with the National Parks Association of NSW Inc (NPA).

With the controversial Regional Forest Agreements set to expire between 2019 and 2021, the National Parks Association of NSW (NPA) is ramping up its campaign on the Far South Coast to end native forest logging and position State Forests to help Australia transition to a low-carbon economy.

The National Parks Association of NSW (NPA) welcomes the creation of new flora reserves between Tathra and Bermagui and the cessation of timber harvesting within the Murrah, Mumbulla, Tanja and southern part of Bermagui State Forests and congratulates the NSW Government on the decision.
