Award Nomination Criteria
Volunteers are nominated and judged with respect to the following criteria:
- Undertakes volunteer work for NPA over an extended period
- Supports the objectives of the organisation
- Achieves results through exceptional effort or innovative means
- Shows detemination, perseverance and initiative
- Provides a role model to others
State Conservation Awards: NPA members who have contributed to substantial state-wide conservation outcomes, benefiting both the NPA and the wider Australian Community are recognised here.
Organisational Support Awards: NPA members who have contributed time and effort to support the organizational structure of the NPA over a substantial period of time are recognized here.
Branch Awards: NPA members who have contributed to the wellbeing of the branch in many ways over a substantial period of time are recognized here.
Bushwalking Leadership Awards: Bushwalk Leaders are selected on the basis of their walks leadership and coordination to the NPA over a substantial period of time. Nominations may be made by branches, NPA members or NPA staff.
Excellence in Conservation Occasional Award
NPA confers the “Excellence in Conservation” award for outstanding and extended service in conservation and to NPA over a number of years.
Allen and Beryl Strom Volunteer Occasional Award
NPA confers the Allen and Beryl Strom Volunteer Occasional Award on occasion to a member who has or members who have made outstanding conservation efforts and generated outcomes that benefit both the wider community and the NPA.
How to make a nomination
