We must remind governments and their agencies that national parks are for the protection and conservation of nature, not ‘unrealised’ sites for future development. The ongoing commercialisation and large-scale development of our parks is threatening the essential ecosystems of flora and fauna that is critical to the wellbeing of our state.

Our national parks are truly treasures of national, and indeed international, importance and we must continue to make this a priority. This is something we do every day at NPA and is at the heart of why we exist.
