NPA NSW Welcomes New CEO

We are delighted to welcome Ms Alix Goodwin as new CEO of the National Parks Association of NSW.

Alix follows in the footsteps of Kevin Evans, who has held the post since 2009. Kevin finished up on Friday, 4th August, and is moving on to take up exciting new ventures in the beautiful Bellinger Valley area of northern NSW. We greatly appreciate his work and commitment over the past seven and a half years, and wish him all the best for the future.

Alix commenced her new role on 28th August. She brings with her a wealth of senior management experience in the NSW public service, as well as a deep understanding of the not-for-profit sector through her active involvement in the Australian Plants Society NSW.

During her career in the NSW health, ageing and disability sectors, Alix lead both strategic and program policy teams spanning a wide range of areas including Aboriginal health, supported accommodation for people with disability, boarding house regulation and individualised funding. She was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 2014. Alix has played an active role in the Australian Plants Society NSW both as Secretary to the Blue Mountains district group committee, and as a Director on the Board since 2014.

She is currently serving her third term as Vice President. She has degrees in Social Work and Public Health, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Alix is keen to continue the spirit of collaboration with our valued partners in the conservation sector, and hopes to meet as many people as possible in coming weeks and months.
