The Thin Green Line

The Thin Green Line project straddles the diverse landscapes of the Illawarra Escarpment which, in terms of forest connectivity, is at its thinnest point between Newcastle and the Victorian border. The aim of this project is to provide funding support to landholders to help manage and link critical habitat for wildlife. Funding is provided for tree planting, fencing materials, weed & feral animal control.

Is your property within the project target area? Refer to the map below – if you are and you would like to know more, download, fill in and return the expression of interest form to receive a call and site visit by the project manager.

More detailed information about the Thin Green Line Project and how it works to support the region’s biodiversity can be found in the article below.

The Thin Green Line project has also helped to part fund the 2nd revised edition of the Robertson Rainforest book, launched on 15 May 2021. Robertson Rainforest was listed as Nationally Critically Endangered in 2019. To find out more about the book and where you can get your copy, see the article below.
