Activities
Environmental Book Club
The NPA environmental book club is a place for members across NSW to discuss and gain a deeper understanding of the natural environment. At our friendly gatherings we discuss books with an environmental theme and shares ideas. Please register by email to sydney@npansw.org.au as only confirmed attendees will be able to access the online session.
Bushwalking
The bushwalking program is in full swing with interesting local walks across the Sydney basin, Blue Mountains and beyond. With something for everyone, from short walks to overnight or multi-night experiences, it’s a great way to explore NSW, meet new people and find new amazing natural places. The walk program and details can be found at bushwalk.npansw.org.au.
Advocacy
The branch provides support and advocacy to help protect our natural environment. We regularly contribute to NPWS reviews of Plans of Management and development of Masterplans that affect protected areas within the Sydney region. Work also contributes to protection of natural corridors, urban bushland that may be under pressure from our growing built environment.
Let us know if you have an area of interest you would like us to help support, or contact us if you would like to be involved in advocacy work across the Sydney region.
Marine Conservation
Marine parks share the same essential purpose as our national parks, nature reserves and regional parks- to safeguard our most powerful legacy to future generations, a diverse, sustainable and resilient environment. Our marine conservation special interest group will be spreading the word about the benefits of protecting a healthy marine environment.

Volunteering
Our work relies solely on the dedicated efforts of volunteers. These rare people join us to help our work, to protect nature, for a variety of reasons and contribute in large and small ways. Regardless of whether you can only give an hour a month or have much more time to support our work, contact us for more information on volunteering with National Parks Association.
