Are you passionate about the environment and looking for a new challenge? Want to make your conservation biology skillset work for a fantastic cause?
If you have been looking for a volunteer position that will use your professional skills to really make a difference, look no further.
The National Parks Association of New South Wales (NPA) is seeking new committee members. The Parks Management Committee functions as an advisory committee to NPA, a non-government conservation group that seeks to protect, connect and restore the integrity and diversity of natural systems in NSW through national parks, marine sanctuaries and other means.
We’re looking for our next star committee member – a passionate advocate for nature conservation with an understanding of ecology, conservation biology, or planning. You will use your expertise and passion for the environment to help us fulfil our vision and mission.
Our priorities for the next three years are marine and terrestrial nature conservation, focusing on:
• Threats to protected flora and fauna
• Promotion of nature-based activities
• Engagement in nature conservation research through citizen science programs
• Protection of under-represented ecosystems
• Broad scale corridor conservation including the Great Eastern Ranges initiative
If you eat, breathe and sleep environmental concerns and you have a passion for volunteering and getting your hands dirty, we’d like to hear from you!
Please apply immediately if you have what it takes to make a difference. Contact Samantha Newton president@npansw.org.au with an outline of your experience and interests.
